Adult Description
At 42 meters long, Caeryth is rather large even for a queen dragon. A vibrant shade of purest yellow gold spills over her hide, splaying out in a pattern reminiscent of a homely warm fire. From nose to tail, the shading seems to only vary on her softer belly and on the underside of her wings, paling slightly like the hottest part of a flame. Her greenish overtones, at a closer look, are revealed to be a web of fiery green filaments in all of the little valleys and shadows on her hide. Her only obvious imperfection is a small and simple mark on her right wing shaped like a maple leaf, pure green in shade.
Caeryth seems long and even lithe for all her overall size. At 18 meters tall, her wingspan of 66 meters is nicely-proportioned to her height and length. Her head has slightly larger than normal eyeridges perfect for more scritching, but also giving her something of a perpetually bemused expression.
Hatchling Description
Rather large for even a queen dragon, this one's got a vibrant shade of purest yellow gold poured over her hide, splaying out in a pattern reminiscent of a homely warm fire. From nose to tail, the shading seems to only vary on her softer belly and on the underside of her wings, paling slightly like the hottest part of a flame. Surprisingly, if one looks closely, all of the little valleys and shadows on her hide shift toward a faint hint of fiery green in tiny lines, as if some clever minecraft apprentice tossed a tiny bit of copper into the fire or one was looking at the finest cornsilk on Pern. The only obvious imperfection is a small and simple mark on her right wing shaped like a maple leaf, and it's even green in shade. Proportionally, this gold seems slender and graceful for all her overall size. Perhaps her belly seems a little thinner than one might expect, but her wings match this in size. Her head has slightly bigger than normal eyeridges, perfect for more scritching, but also giving her something of a perpetually bemused expression.
Egg Description
It's a large egg, twice as big as some, half again as big as the second-largest. Its predominant hue is a shining gold, so polished that it scatters light in a warm yellow glow. It's not plain by any means; in fact it's hard to tell whether the images which appear are just that -- images --, or whether they're reflections of the other eggs around it. Whitish bones, cast in gold, grasp the shell all around like some giant skeletal hand. A face of the same deathly white with the same golden tinge peers out, its expression one of wonder and awe. Silhouettes of trees almost too large to fathom hover near the edges, rounding out the golden tableau.
General Personality
As an adult, Caeryth is even more of a wise woman, kind and gentle with her suggestions and many dragons, even older ones, are likely to seek her for advice. Her caring for the dragons of the Weyr is vast and deep, and she still has plenty more caring to offer to dragons from across Pern. Out of all the dragons on Pern, she's one of the most likely to directly bespeak a human in pain or distress, but of course, she'll ask you to speak for her in most cases. Her empathy is legendary, and she has time to help everyone, even people or animals you yourself wouldn't automatically reach out and help for whatever reason. She's also very creative, always suggesting things to help improve the look of your weyr, very much attached to a few trinkets you two have collected over the turns. She's not fond of clutter in general, but any piece she chooses to add to your weyr will make sense and fit in with the other things already present in a kind of artistic harmony.
Weyrling Personality
As a weyrling dragon, Caeryth is the quiet eye of the storm. Duly attentive to both you and the Weyrlingmasters, she excels at trying everything new as soon as she can and is extremely meticulous in learning what is being taught, so she can best protect you and fulfill her duty to Pern. Not prone to hysterics, she's more likely to seek out your advice than asking one of the other dragons. Her trust in you is explicit and deep. She also feels the need to dispense the calm wisdom she learns from you when the other dragons ask for advice or sometimes even if they don't ask first, although she modulates her tones so as not to appear bossy or overstepping the authority of the Weyrleaders' dragons or the Weyrlingmaster's. Sometimes, however, her mind may simply not be on the tasks at hand, preferring to look out of the barracks and simply watch people and dragons pass. She's not above the occasional prank, however, and she may very well wind up in the running for the most times having padded oil across the barracks floor in interesting patterns. Even then, she makes sure that her play doesn't hurt someone else.
Threadfall Personality
In Threadfall or any dangerous situation, Caeryth is likely to be a cool-headed leader. She knows where to look for instructions and what to do in case of emergency. She doesn't lose sight of the overall big picture and she doesn't question authority that she trusts. Due to her calmness and capability during emergencies, she will quickly acquire a reputation for being a go-to sort of personality, someone other dragons would willingly follow. That doesn't mean she always plays it safe. She will risk all if it means others are saved, and she has no problem putting herself in danger so that others don't have to unnecessarily. She's certainly not reckless, but if she does put herself in the way of danger, she's always got a plan and a means to execute it with a really solid chance of success. She would never consider herself brave for risking life and limb for others, although she might say another dragonpair was brave for doing similar stuff. She modestly considers it just getting the job done.
Flight Personality
When Caeryth rises, you'll never realize it until the moment is upon you both, no matter how meticulous you are in checking on how much her hide is glowing. While you will learn to have a good guess as to her cycle, she will never rise on the exact day you'd expect, because she'll only act slightly more flirtatious than normal. Your barometer is more likely to be the males around her paying more attention to her than usual, for your queen was never a wanton. She knows what is most needed for the Weyr, and even in the throes of her need to mate, she keeps this in mind. When the desire to fly takes control of her, the males will be hard-pressed to win her, because she's so very wise and clever, and she will use her intimate knowledge of Ista's skies and winds to her advantage in an almost methodical test of their abilities. She chooses not for brazen lust or whoever's nearest, but for who can fly smart and who can keep some control over himself enough to keep up with her. Due to her size and intelligence, her flights will be quite lengthy if you follow your training and ensure she doesn't eat the meat when the dragons are blooding.
